Applications will not be processed until such time as the appropriate permit fee has been remitted. Payment can be made by cash, debit/credit or cheque at the Municipal Office or by credit card over the phone. Please call the Municipal Office (519-832-2008 ext. 118) to make payment over the phone. Please provide the property's Assessment Roll Number or civic address when making payment.
As per Section 3.24.9 of Zoning By-law 75-2006, all driveways in urban areas shall comply with the Town of Saugeen Shores Engineering Development Manual. The homeowner/ builder will be required to hard surface the driveway apron (the area between the paved portion of the street and the front lot line). If there is a sidewalk located through the driveway, the homeowner is required to hard surface the Town property on both sides of the sidewalk.

CulvertsDuring processing of your Application, the Public Works Department will determine if a driveway culvert is required at your entrance. If a culvert is required, the minimum size (width and length) will be noted on your Permit. The purchase, installation and maintenance of driveway culverts, including costs, is the responsibility of the property owner.
