Section 7.7 - Non-Potable Water Systems

7.7.1 - Connection

       7.7.1.1 - Non-Potable Connection

       (1) A non-potable water system shall not be connected to a potable water system.

Registration Process

1. Complete and submit Sandpoint Well Registration Form
2. Arrange inspection fee payment. See permit fee information below. 
3. Once payment is received, the Town of Saugeen Shores will perform a cross-connection inspection. This ensures the well is not connected to municipal water services. Please allow 10 business days for the inspection to be completed. 
4. Once the inspection has been approved, a "lawn water watered by sandpoint" sign will be left beside the sandpoint pump. 

Sketch Requirements

A digital sketch is required to be submitted with the sandpoint well registration form. Please plot the house, street, and location of the sandpoint well. This ensures that our inspector can locate the sandpoint to complete the inspection. 

Permit Fees

Sandpoint well registrations will not be processed until such time as the appropriate fee has been remitted. Payment can be made by cash, debit/credit or cheque at the Municipal Office or by credit card over the phone. Please call the Municipal Office (519-832-2008 ext. 130) to make payment over the phone. Please provide the property's civic address when making payment.
